    Migration

Migration has historically been a common phenomenon, with people relocating within and across borders for centuries.

However, the international management of (forced) migration is currently inadequate, struggling to find a balance between individual legal rights, economic prospects, and the realpolitik influenced by domestic concerns.

The stark contrast between broad declarations of intent to ensure safe, orderly, and regular migration and the harsh realities faced by migrants underscores this failure.

Same Justice is dedicated to fostering improved policies on (forced) migration—policies that not only protect migrants but also consider a realistic assessment of the various interests at play—by providing insights from practical research.
